Turn on the spot.

If you press left or right to turn Ryo will also take a step forward. So in smaller areas if you want to turn on the spot:

hold the B button then hold the LEFT or RIGHT walk button until you are facing the direction you want to go, now

let go of the walk button and Ryo will turn on the spot.

First person view.
There are some small rooms in the game that if you press the RUN button the camera will go into Ryo's view.

Here's a list of the places so far:

Freestay Lodge, Aberdeen
Come Over Guest House Room 203 (Ryo's Room), Green Market Qr, Aberdeen.

Quit buttons.

As there is no actual quit option in the game, pressing these buttons during play will get you back to the title screen:

Xbox: Hold START & BACK for a few seconds.

Dreamcast: Hold A+B+X+Y then press Start.

Shenmue Theme in a pop song.

A UK girl group called 'Girls Aloud' released a song called "Life Got Cold" in August 2003, right from the start of the song it

sounds like the Shenmue theme. You can view the video for it at the bands official site: http://www.girlsaloud.co.uk. (you

must sign up with the site first.)

Tv Stars wear Nozomi jumper.

In an episode of the hit tv show "Alias", star Jennifer Garner (Pic 1) wore a jumper similar to the one that Nozomi wears

in the first Shenmue game (Pic 2). The episode is called "Crossings" (Season 3, Episode 12) and was aired in the UK on

Bravo 30th May 2004. Eliza Dushku also wore one in the "Tru Calling" episode "Reunion" (Pic 3) (Season 1, Episode 10)

that aired in the UK on Sky One 15th June 2004.

This site was mentioned in the Official UK Xbox Magazine.
